About The Position

AIR Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work onsite at their apartment community, Citigate Apartments in Jacksonville, FL. This role utilizes industry-leading maintenance technology to help technicians prioritize work orders, communicate efficiently, reduce administrative tasks, and resolve resident concerns quickly. The technician will be responsible for preparing apartments for new move-ins and troubleshooting maintenance requests, with the necessary tools and support provided.

Requirements

At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment
Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).
A reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.
Comfort with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and support fellow team members
Complete apartment turns and prepare homes for move-in readiness
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace components involving plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, HVAC equipment, and general building systems
Complete service requests accurately, safely, and efficiently
Assist with move-in and move-out inspections as needed
Support vendor management and quality control efforts
Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced technicians when applicable
Maintain a safe work environment and respond to emergency maintenance requests, including scheduled on-call rotations
