As a community maintenance team member, you will prepare vacant apartments for new residents, respond to and complete resident requests for maintenance and demonstrate a high-level of customer service at all times. The Maintenance Supervisor/Technician will work to ensure the community meets all safety standards, site appearance standards and that all apartments, equipment and amenities are maintained in good working order.

Requirements

At least one year experience in apartment maintenance/property management
HVAC experience
High school diploma or GED
Able to read/write English
Knowledge of working safely with power tools and electricity
General knowledge of building codes and laws applicable to the community (i.e. Freon recovery, electrical, plumbing, swimming pools)
Understand and abide by Fair Housing laws

Responsibilities

Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
Respond to and complete resident requests for maintenance
Demonstrate a high-level of customer service at all times
Ensure the community meets all safety standards
Ensure site appearance standards are met
Maintain all apartments, equipment and amenities in good working order
Handle shared on call emergencies and responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, painting, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, blinds, ceiling fans, windows, locks, roofing, A/C and heat repair, pool/spa maintenance
Complete turns
Complete work order requests in a timely manner
Perform other maintenance related job duties as assigned by the property manager and maintenance supervisor
Participate in all mandatory training
Accurately complete on-call and site inspection logs, service requests, pool logs and maintenance checklists in a timely manner
