About The Position

The Springs Townhomes is seeking a Service Technician to join their team in Parkville, MD. This role involves responding to maintenance work orders, performing routine and preventative maintenance, preparing apartments for new residents, and handling general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance maintenance. The technician will also maintain a clean and safe work environment and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Hands-on knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Availability for after-hours emergency response (evenings, weekends, holidays)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• 3–5 years of residential maintenance experience preferred
• HVAC experience/certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance work orders
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance
• Prepare apartment homes for new residents (turnovers)
• Handle general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency repairs
