About The Position

We are seeking a Service Technician for Hampton Point Apartments in Silver Spring, MD. This role involves responding to maintenance work orders, performing routine and preventative maintenance, preparing apartments for new residents, handling general repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance maintenance), and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The position also requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency repairs.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Hands-on knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Availability for after-hours emergency response (evenings, weekends, holidays)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• 3–5 years of residential maintenance experience preferred
• HVAC experience/certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance work orders
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance
• Prepare apartment homes for new residents (turnovers)
• Handle general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance maintenance
