About The Position

The Apartment Maintenance Supervisor reports to a Property Manager and ensures apartment homes and facilities at an assigned apartment community are in good working order and maintained to MAA standards. The role coordinates the maintenance team’s work on property facilities and apartment units, supports prompt and courteous responses to service requests, maintains an adequate supply of market-ready apartments to meet leasing demand, and ensures the property’s appearance meets or exceeds standards. The supervisor also assists with hiring, training, and developing assigned maintenance staff, which may include painters and/or landscaping staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and three to five years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
HVAC experience.
EPA Type II or EPA Universal license.
For Florida locations, CAMT license at time of hire or by the next professional examination and licensing opportunity.
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of supervisory experience preferred.
