About The Position

The Apartment Maintenance Supervisor at Bright Meadows is responsible for overseeing and performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the property is well-maintained and residents are satisfied. This role involves diagnosing and fixing issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and flooring, as well as managing unit turnovers, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The supervisor will also manage work order systems and collaborate with the Property Manager on various projects and updates.

Requirements

  • HVAC Certification strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Superior customer service skills, with professionalism in handling resident concerns
  • Comfort with technology and work order management systems
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in residential multifamily or facility maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and perform repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and general maintenance
  • Manage unit turnover and move-in/move-out processes
  • Oversee work order systems, ensuring timely completion and accurate updates
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs
  • Coordinate and schedule contractors, vendors, and third-party services
  • Execute routine preventative maintenance to extend equipment and property life
  • Collaborate with the Property Manager on project updates, unit turns, and work order progress
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational goals
