About The Position

This is a leadership role for a skilled maintenance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You’ll oversee scattered-site multifamily apartment buildings, supervising a small team, completing residential work orders, manage turnovers, vendor coordination, ordering supplies and managing all life safety & compliance. As the Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead maintenance operations across a cluster. You’ll supervise 1–2 maintenance team members, manage work orders via Entrata, coordinate vendors, and ensure compliance with safety and inspection standards. You’ll also perform hands-on repairs and represent the maintenance team in meetings with Property Managers.

Requirements

  • Experience with boilers and chillers.
  • Experience in apartment maintenance or related field.
  • Skilled in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • Leadership experience supervising maintenance teams.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage vendors and coordinate turnovers.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software and reporting tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Availability for emergency on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise 1–2 maintenance team members across assigned properties.
  • Schedule and oversee turnovers, inspections, and vendor coordination.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and inspection readiness.
  • Train new maintenance hires and enforce safety standards.
  • Manage work orders and ensure timely completion using Entrata.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, equipment and company vehicles.
  • Log hours worked and report metrics to the Property Manager.
  • Represent maintenance in meetings with Property Managers and leadership.
  • Support seasonal tasks including snow removal and curb appeal projects.
  • Be a part of a 24/7 on call rotation.
