About The Position

We’re seeking a detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team in Springfield, MA. You’ll play a key role in supporting daily financial operations by processing a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, while partnering closely with another AP Specialist. Requirements

Hands-on experience with accounts payable functions
Proven ability to handle high-volume invoice processing
Experience with invoice and purchase-order matching
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working with ERP systems (Sage / Timberline a plus)
Solid foundational accounting knowledge related to payables
Strong organizational and note-taking skills
Clear and professional communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in the construction industry (helpful, not required)
Familiarity with family-owned or close-knit company environments
Enjoys teamwork and collaborative problem-solving

Responsibilities

Process 400–500 invoices per week with accuracy and timeliness
Collaborate daily with another Accounts Payable Specialist to manage workflow
Review invoices for correct coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
Enter invoice data into the ERP system (experience with Sage / Timberline preferred)
Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies promptly
Maintain well-organized and up-to-date AP records
Take clear, detailed notes and retain key information to support accurate processing
Communicate with vendors and internal teams to clarify invoice issues
Assist with general accounting and AP-related tasks as needed
