Tutor, AP Physics (Remote)
About The Position
TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 15,000 locally owned and operated tutoring & college advising programs, is seeking experienced AP Instructors to work with US students in grades 9-12. Tutors will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals. The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher who is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and has instructed or tutored this AP course for their high school in the past. Tutoring assignments are 60-90 minutes and will be regular and reliable. Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 3PM and 9PM CST during the week and between 10am - 4pm CST for part of a weekend day.
Requirements
- 3-12 hours per week of availability
- Earned Bachelor's Degree
- Materials for the subject mentioned in the post
- Exceptionally strong communication skills
- A passion for helping others learn
- Familiarity with online lesson delivery
Nice To Haves
- Licensed teacher
- Instructed or tutored AP Physics for their high school in the past
- State teaching certification (current/former) and experience teaching the AP subject mentioned in this post
