About The Position

The AOG Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining Thrive Aviation aircraft, components, and systems in accordance with company policies, manufacturer manuals, and FAA regulations. This role is critical to ensuring aircraft safety, reliability, and operational readiness. In addition to standard maintenance responsibilities, this position specializes in Aircraft on Ground (AOG) response—providing rapid troubleshooting, repair, and logistics support at the LAS home base and remote locations. The technician plays a key role in minimizing downtime, improving turnaround times, and supporting overall fleet performance.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
  • Previous experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician required
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, especially in AOG scenarios
  • Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 135 maintenance regulations
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to time-critical situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, tooling, and technical publications
  • Willingness to travel on short notice

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft, airframe components, powerplants, and avionics systems in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer manuals, and Thrive Aviation procedures
  • Provide AOG maintenance support at LAS and remote locations, including rapid diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections and clear discrepancies to ensure airworthiness
  • Execute proper Airworthiness Releases and ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate and complete
  • Coordinate AOG logistics including parts procurement, tooling, and travel arrangements
  • Conduct pilot debriefs to identify discrepancies and maintenance needs
  • Track and analyze recurring maintenance issues, failure trends, and aircraft history
  • Ensure proper tagging and handling of all aircraft parts in accordance with company policy
  • Maintain AOG vehicles, tools, and company equipment in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition
  • Accurately track and submit travel expenses and receipts
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and adhere to all safety standards
  • Remain alert to defective or unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective action
  • Support Thrive Aviation’s CRS Repair Station and Ground Operations as needed
  • Complete all required paperwork and records in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
