About The Position

Strategic Support Solutions is seeking a skilled and decisive Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Mechanic, A&P certified, to perform critical, time-sensitive maintenance on high-end corporate and private jets at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. This role operates on a unique 7 days on, 7 days off schedule. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a passion for aviation and a deep knowledge of corporate aircraft.

Requirements

• Valid A&P Certificate.
• A minimum of 3 years of general aviation maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Bombardier (Challenger, Global), Embraer (Phenom, Praetor/Legacy), or Cessna Lattitude.
• Hands-on experience with Garmin 3000 and/or 5000 avionics suites.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts catalogs.
• Comfortable using computers and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Apple products.
• Comfortable and willing to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet) using fall protection.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to pass background checks for unescorted access to Security Identification Display Areas (SIDA), including a potential FBI criminal history check.

Nice To Haves

• Stellar candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience—or a minimum of 2 years consisting strictly of dedicated AOG work—will be considered on an individual review basis at an adjusted starting wage.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality, rapid-response maintenance on a diverse fleet of corporate and general aviation aircraft.
• Work on a variety of airframes, including Bombardier (Challenger, Global), Embraer (Phenom 300, Praetor/Legacy), Gulfstream, Cessna (Lattitude), Falcon, Learjet, and Hawker.
• Execute a wide range of maintenance tasks, from routine inspections and servicing to complex avionics troubleshooting and FAA-approved repairs.
• Read and interpret technical manuals to solve complex issues.
• Accurately complete all work orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
