About The Position

Anytime Sitter is seeking passionate and energetic babysitters with strong childcare experience to join their team. This role is on an 'as needed' basis, with a current focus on weekday availability in NYC. Sitters will provide safe and nurturing care, engage in age-appropriate activities, perform light meal preparation, and tidy children's areas. Success in this role requires significant childcare experience, a genuine interest in childcare, strong communication skills, warmth, kindness, and the ability to set clear boundaries with children of various ages. As this is an 'as needed' position, paid hours are not guaranteed, and sitters are encouraged to have other employment. A minimum commitment of 4 sitting sessions per month is required to remain an active team member.

Requirements

Authorization to work in the US
At least 3 years of previous babysitting or nanny experience, ideally across all ages
A well-suited demeanor for working with children
Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (children's meal prep, organizing toys, etc.)
A professional appearance
Fluency in both oral and written English
Minimum requirement of scheduling 4 sitting sessions per month

Nice To Haves

Related training and certifications such as First Aid, CPR & AED, early childhood education, defensive driving, water safety certification, NCS, special needs, etc.
A four-year college degree from an accredited university
Driver's license
Special needs experience, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
An open schedule
Fluency in one or more foreign language
Education or equivalent knowledge in the milestones/stages of childhood growth and development
