About The Position

Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking a talented associate with 1–3 years of antitrust experience to join our top-ranked Antitrust & Competition Practice Group in New York or Washington, D.C. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated attorney eager to work on complex antitrust investigations, enforcement actions, and high-stakes private litigation involving allegations such as monopolization, price-fixing, and merger challenges. You’ll also play a key role in multi-jurisdictional merger clearance efforts and regulatory strategy for clients in fast-evolving sectors like technology, AI, life sciences, and energy. As part of our collaborative team, you’ll advise clients on compliance and risk management strategies, participate in all stages of litigation—from drafting pleadings to trial preparation—and stay at the forefront of regulatory developments. Requirements

  • 1–3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in antitrust litigation, regulatory or government investigations at a top law firm.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent legal research skills; superb writing and oral communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Prior experience or strong interest in civil antitrust/unfair competition litigation, merger reviews (DOJ/FTC), global criminal cartel matters, government civil investigations, and counseling.
  • Admission to the New York or DC Bar.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with antitrust issues in the technology sector is highly preferred.
  • Prior clerkship or DOJ/FTC experience preferred.
