About The Position

This role is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, executing, and serving as the liaison for external projects to generate polyclonal antibody serum inventory. The Antibody Scientist will implement effective immunization programs to maximize immune response, maintain professional and timely relationships with external vendors, and conduct required immunoassay testing and processing on received materials to ensure quality standards are met. This position will also manufacture sub-assembly items, organize and maintain physical and virtual antibody inventories, and ensure antibody quality, stability, and specificity through proper storage and handling. The scientist will stay abreast of advancements in vaccine science, immunology, and antibody science through continuous learning and, under the direction of the Biological Materials Production Manager, contribute to scientific projects for improving the application of antibody materials. Maintaining accurate work records, assisting with document revisions, and effective communication are also key aspects of this role. Compliance with all company policies, procedures, internal and external quality standards, and regulatory standards is required. Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Minimum of four years of experience working in a wet lab
  • Proficiency in basic laboratory skills: pipetting, aseptic technique, buffer preparation, gel electrophoresis, titrations, immunoassays
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, organization, and communication
  • Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Experience in polyclonal antibody production, immunogen preparation, or protein characterization
  • Experience in project management
  • Proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques & dry lab skills
  • BLS-2 Experience
