About The Position

The Investigator is responsible for conducting thorough and impartial investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment and other misconduct as defined by Title IX, Title VII and Title VI and other related state/federal regulations. The Investigator ensures compliance with federal and state laws while upholding the institution's policies and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all members of the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 to 8 years of work related experience
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive investigations into reports alleging violations of Molloy's sexual misconduct and anti-harassment and discrimination policies and/or federal/state legislation.
  • Gather and analyze evidence, including witness statements, documentation, and relevant information.
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports that summarize the details of the evidence collected.
  • Present findings to Title IX, Title VI coordinators, administrators, and other relevant parties as necessary.
  • Ensure that all investigations are conducted in a manner consistent with institutional policies and legal requirements.
  • Stay updated on Title VI, Title IX regulations and other federal and state laws, as well as best practices in investigations.
  • Monitor policies and practices to prevent discrimination.
  • Develop and deliver training and education to staff and faculty on Title VI, IX issues, policies, and reporting procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for the campus community regarding Title VI, Title IX rights and responsibilities.
  • Offer supportive measure to complainants and respondents throughout the investigation process, ensuring their rights and needs are addressed.
  • Collaborate with campus resources, such as CCRT, counseling services and advocacy groups.
