About The Position

Westfield Electroplating Company (WEPCO) is seeking an experienced anodize plater for its first (7:00am-3:30pm) and second shift (3pm-11pm) operations. WEPCO, a growing aerospace company founded in 1946 and located in Westfield, Massachusetts, is family-owned and operated, employing 165 skilled platers, painters, and technicians. As a stable, non-union facility, WEPCO offers diverse aerospace and defense finishing capabilities to military, government, aviation, medical, and electronic industries. WEPCO holds the distinction of being the first company in the country to achieve NADCAP accreditation in chemical processing, a status maintained for over a decade.

Requirements

• Knowledge of sulfuric and chromic anodizing.
• 1-5 years of experience.
• Ability to use micrometers to verify thicknesses.
• Familiarity with basic understanding of specifications.
• Competence in math, including calculating surface area of normal shapes.
• Ability to handle delicate parts without causing damage.
• Understanding of blueprints and drawings.
• Desire and capacity to read and learn.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, industrious, and able to work independently.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform sulfuric and chromic acid anodizing techniques.
• Verify thicknesses using micrometers.
• Understand and apply military standards and industry process specifications.
• Calculate surface area of normal shapes.
• Handle delicate parts without causing damage.
