About The Position

St. Paul’s School seeks a development professional who, for a defined group of alumni forms, is responsible for leading initiatives to increase fundraising for The SPS Fund and nurture a culture of philanthropy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, individual solicitations, form fundraising coordination, and volunteer management. It is essential that the Officer is a team player who can work closely and collaboratively with all members of the Advancement team.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems, as well as handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivation to work earnestly and cooperatively in a team and remote environment with co-workers and volunteers and to give and receive feedback on common projects and tasks.
  • Good judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion.
  • Cultural competence and inclusiveness in working with populations of diverse cultures and identities.

Nice To Haves

  • three to five years of experience in annual giving, alumni engagement, or related advancement work preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of prospects and forms for increased support of The SPS Fund and to identify, qualify, and cultivate prospective donors.
  • Develop solicitation strategies for assigned prospects and forms, including mail, phone, virtual, electronic, and personal visits.
  • Support reunion giving and class-based campaigns with targeted strategies to improve participation and revenue outcomes.
  • Partner with volunteer class agents to strengthen solicitation efforts and donor retention.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase alumni participation across assigned form years.
  • Track participation metrics, analyze donor behavior, and identify trends to inform outreach strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Alumni Engagement team to align giving with engagement programming and communications.
  • Recruit, train, and support alumni volunteers to serve as form agents and peer solicitors.
  • Provide strategic guidance and tools to help volunteers achieve fundraising and participation goals.
