About The Position
Midwest Communications, Inc. in Lansing, Michigan has a part-time opening for an experienced broadcaster or someone who has dreamed of being behind the microphone. This role includes regular air shifts, working live events, opportunities to learn new skills in audio/video production, and digital content creation. You'll enjoy a supportive team, and the energy and excitement of creating entertaining content in Michigan's Capital City!
Requirements
- Strong, clear, and engaging voice with excellent articulation and pronunciation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both on and off-air.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weeknights and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required for this position.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with broadcast equipment and audio production is a plus.
- bachelor's degree in broadcasting, journalism, or communications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Host or assist with live radio broadcasts
- Prepare for on-air shows with research and content
- Record commercials, promos, and station announcements
- Engage listeners with energy, personality, and professionalism
- Assist with station events and promotions as needed
- Learn the day-to-day operations of a successful radio station
