About The Position

Acadia Broadcasting is looking for our next on‑air personality in Dryden, ON. This role has evolved beyond a traditional "radio announcer" and requires authentic personality, strong creative instincts, and the ability to turn ideas into great on‑air and digital content. The ideal candidate loves connecting with people, telling stories, and sounding like a real human on the mic. Acadia Broadcasting is a growing Canadian media company with radio stations across Atlantic Canada and Northwestern Ontario, proud to be the local voice for entertainment, news, and community connection in every market they serve. They are seeking candidates whether they are early in their broadcasting career or a seasoned pro.

Requirements

Engaging, humble, and hungry personality
Ability to bring original ideas and execute them
Preference for coaching over micromanagement and thriving with limited supervision
Understanding of the importance of win‑win relationships
Enjoyment of being out in the community and connecting with people
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine enthusiasm
Valid driver’s licence

Nice To Haves

Experience with WideOrbit, Adobe Audition, or MusicMaster (training provided for the right person)

Responsibilities

Host a show that entertains, informs, and connects
Create and contribute content across on‑air, social, and digital platforms
Support programming, promotions, and creative initiatives with ideas that have follow‑through
Lend your voice for voice tracking shows for other markets, commercials and station content
Represent the station at community events and live broadcasts
Work independently and collaboratively in a supportive team environment
