About The Position

We aim to compete with the best in the business and will rely on our brilliant animators to bring to life our next top feature animation project! Using storyboards, animatics and other visual references, you will work with the Director, Animation Director, Animation Supervisor and your team to complete shots in accordance with the story. You’ll bring characters to life through a strong understanding of anatomy, movement, and performance. Your acting skills will help communicate ideas that resonate with audiences and evoke genuine emotional responses. DNEG Animation is a world-class animation studio that crafts captivating worlds and compelling characters through beautiful animation. Our studio is fuelled by the passion and talents of our global crew, and through them we are delivering an exciting slate of major new projects, such as The Angry Birds Movie 3, The Cat in the Hat, and Bad Fairies. Requirements

Thorough knowledge of Maya.
Proven experience within an animation department (Feature Animation preferred).
Showing an understanding of anatomy, perspective and composition, strong drawing skills is an asset.
Demonstrate knowledge of timing, posing, acting and storytelling techniques.
Well versed in the principles of animation.
Minimum 3 years of experience in animation or animation development within a feature animation studio
