About The Position
The Arizona Humane Society is looking for a dedicated full-time Transport Driver to join our team. This position will report to our state-of-the-art Rob and Melani Walton Papago Park Campus and work a schedule of Friday - Monday 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Must be 21 years of age
- One year of prior work experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Candidates must have an acceptable driving record and ability to pass drug and background screening to be insured as an AHS driver.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with animal handling is preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely and thoughtfully transporting animals to and from off-site adoption locations, shelter facilities, and media/adoption events.
- Determine the movement of adoptable animals while ensuring the behavioral and medical criteria of each location and kennel is met.
- Provide additional assistance to shelter personnel as needed, including but not limited to transportation of animals to non-AHS facilities, delivery of mail, and delivery of supplies.
