Requirements

• An ability to excel in an extremely flexible, fast paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft excel or similar spreadsheet software
• Junior, Senior or recent college graduate of Undergraduate degree
• Studying Animal Sciences, Zoology, Marine Science, Environmental or Life Sciences, Nutrition or related major
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must provide full work availability

Nice To Haves

• Background education or experience in nutrition or animal sciences
• Experience with food preparation and / or animal feeding
• An interest in providing excellent nutritional welfare for animals under human care

Responsibilities

• Learn the importance and practical applications of diet evaluation, data collection and analysis, critical thinking, experimental design, animal feeding behavior, and food production for both terrestrial and aquatic species
• Engage Guests in conservation storytelling and conveying the Animal Nutrition Center mission and vision of improving animal health.
• Integrate into a strong team environment, accomplishing daily tasks and contributing to positive and practical projects
• Present and organize cohesive analyses of current nutrition information on animals in our collection to our team
