Animal Care Specialist
About The Position
We are looking for positive, enthusiastic, and outgoing individuals to join our team at a local Dog Daycare and Boarding Facility in West Austin (78730). This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in getting hands-on training and experience caring for dogs and exploring the Animal Care industry more broadly. Our Animal Care Training program allows for dedicated, hard-working employees to learn and grow at their pace with a strong staff support system. You would be working directly with the dogs, and attention to detail and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment is key. Making each pup feel important is essential!
Requirements
- Passion for working with dogs
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Feasible commute to 6004 City Park Rd, Austin TX 78730
Nice To Haves
- Experience with dogs and/or customer care is preferred but not required.
- Customer Service Experience a plus, but interest and enthusiasm a must!
- Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment is key.
Responsibilities
- Taking dogs in and out using specific techniques (which will be learned through training)
- Monitoring playgroups for long periods outdoors
- Participating in both virtual and hands-on training sessions
- LOTS of cleaning, including scooping dog waste
- Using learned techniques to ensure each individual dog is happy and comfortable
