We are currently looking for an Animal Care Specialist Summer Student to join our Housing Team. Reporting to the Animal Care Supervisor, the successful candidate must have a good knowledge of livestock care and be physically capable of handling large bulls. Hay, silage and manure handling are part of the regular job duties. This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in our Kemptville location. The working hours of the role are Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with rotating weekends. This position offers a minimum starting hourly wage of $21.00 with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Ability and experience operating farm equipment; solid mechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• A high school diploma
• A valid driver’s license
• Strong agricultural experience, including handling and caring for livestock
• Physically capable of handling large bulls
