Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance (DZCA) is a leader in animal care, wildlife conservation, and education. The Large Mammal Animal Care Specialist contributes to the daily operations within their assigned area by providing safe and exceptional habitats, nutrition, training, behavior, and welfare for animal species at the Zoo. They will work in a program that includes black rhino, river hippo, Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, greater one-horned rhino, Malayan tapir, red river hogs, a variety of Asian and African hoofstock, and several species of birds. Candidates must be available to work on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. 19 hours per week maximum, but a full 19 hours are not guaranteed every week. The work schedule will vary week-to-week.
