About The Position

This role is for an Animal Care Specialist in Adoptions at an Anti-Cruelty organization. The position requires an Associate-level mastery of responsibilities, serving as a subject matter expert in a specialization, supporting training and mentorship, operating with increased independence, and demonstrating advanced decision-making. A key aspect of the role is creating an inclusive and welcoming culture for volunteers, staff, and the community, supporting the human-animal bond. Requirements

Must have customer service experience and a passion for working with people.
Must be experienced in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Uphold the PETS work culture agreement through Praise, Engagement, Trust, and Support.
Engage in continued education in animal care.
Guide and train Associates when needed.
Be well versed in Animal Care Associate position.
Provide daily cleaning, feeding, and husbandry tasks as required.
Assists guests and potential adopters with meeting animals.
Matchmake to support Open Adoptions.
Complete adoptions for all species of animals that are placeable through Anti-Cruelty's adoption center.
Support and manage off-site Adoption Events.
Conduct follow up calls or emails with adopters as assigned.
