About The Position

As an Animal Care Attendant (ACA), you will work directly with animals in need, providing them with care, comfort, and compassion, and helping them find forever homes. Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Team player
• Ability to lift 18 kg (40lbs) and control 45 kg (100lbs)
• Valid G driver’s license with the ability to provide a clear driver’s abstract
• Open availability including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Previous clerical training
• Customer service experience
• Certificate or College Diploma in Animal Care or working towards

Responsibilities

• Performing care and enrichment for animals including feeding, exercising, playing, and other engagement activities.
• Ensuring a healthy environment through general housekeeping, disinfection protocols, laundry duties, and kennel cleaning.
• Supporting animal physical health by performing supervised vaccinations, seeking RVT advice, and general bathing and grooming duties.
• Maintaining client records, recording information, and notifying a supervisor of any potential health concerns.
• Participating in the transfer of animals to the vet clinic as required.
• Actively promoting the center via social media channels and participation in fundraising initiatives.
