About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at Pet Palace South Charlotte. This role involves providing care for pets, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean environment. The company emphasizes a team-oriented approach and a passion for animals, aiming to revolutionize the pet industry with services including day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but not required if eager to learn.
• A willingness to get your hands dirty.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Must have availability for AM and PM shifts on weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of each pet guest.
• Reporting any unusual observations to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime and activities.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and pet belongings.
• Making tails wag.
• Other duties as assigned.
