Animal Care Attendant (Flexible Working Hours)
About The Position
Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant who is passionate about animals and ready to turn their love for them into a rewarding job. Destination Pet is a community that lives to elevate the love and lives of pet families, offering services such as day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. The goal is to make pets feel at home and their humans feel at ease. This is a hands-on job that requires being on your feet for the duration of the shift and involves exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and pet accidents. Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
- Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but not required if eager to learn.
- A willingness to get your hands dirty.

Responsibilities
- Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
- Serving meals and fresh water.
- Monitoring the health, happiness, and waste of every pet guest.
- Reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager.
- Supervising playtime.
- Assisting with brushing and bath time.
- Handling laundry and belongings.
- Making tails wag.
- Other duties as assigned.
