Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at The Barking Lot. This role involves hands-on care for pets, ensuring their comfort and safety. Requirements

• A borderline-obsessive love for animals.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and pet accidents is expected.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• A cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
• A willingness to get your hands dirty.

Nice To Haves

• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and waste of every pet guest.
• Reporting any unusual observations to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime and interactions.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and pet belongings.
• Making tails wag.
• Other duties as assigned.
