Animal Care Attendant

We are revolutionizing the pet industry and are looking for an Animal Care Attendant at Bailey's Deluxe Pet Care Center. This role is for individuals passionate about animals who are ready to turn their love for them into a rewarding job. Destination Pet is a community that lives to elevate the love and lives of pet families, offering services such as day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. Our goal is to make pets feel at home and their humans feel at ease.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
- Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the gig.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
- A borderline-obsessive love for animals.
- A cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
- A willingness to get your hands dirty.
Nice To Haves
- Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but if you're brand new and eager to learn—we want to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
- Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
- Monitoring the health, happiness, and waste of every pet guest.
- Reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager.
- Supervising playtime, tail-wagging, and games of fetch.
- Assisting with brushing and bath time.
- Handling laundry and belongings.
- Making tails wag.
- Other duties as assigned.
