About The Position

Longs Peak Animal Hospital is seeking Full-Time Boarding and Daycare Attendants. We are looking for outgoing animal lovers with exceptional communication skills to join our Boarding & Daycare team! This position is a great entry-level position for those looking to further their education in animal care and behavior. We are looking for a long-term employment commitment. This position requires a practical knowledge of dog behavior as well as animal-handling skills.

Requirements

Reliable and time-conscious team members with a consistent positive attitude.
Passionate about animals and dedicated to caring for them the way they would their own pets.
Patient people who are comfortable around large numbers of dogs of all shapes, sizes, and breeds.
Comfortable with a noisy work environment and cleaning pet messes.
Problem solvers who can think on their feet.
Can accurately follow detailed directions and multitask.
Can work for long periods on their feet while regularly kneeling, crouching, bending, and lifting 20-50 lbs.
18 years and older with a diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Practical knowledge of dog behavior.
Animal-handling skills.

Responsibilities

Constant cleanliness of kennels, runs, and ward areas of the hospital.
Proper feeding and care of all Boarding & Daycare animals.
Supervise play groups for dogs to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for dogs and staff alike.
