About The Position

At SEI we value our employees and believe in driving growth through change. Part of building brave futures is making a concerted effort to develop and challenge our employees to achieve their goals through internal job mobility. SEI is looking for an Angular Architect with deep experience building enterprise Angular applications and leading Micro Front End (MFE) implementations. This role is responsible for defining front-end architecture standards, shaping shared platform capabilities (design system/component libraries), and guiding multiple teams to deliver scalable, secure, high-performance user experiences. These platforms include: Client platform: the technology and business processes that support investors. Intermediary platform: the technology and business processes that support SEI’s intermediaries (advisors, enterprise and bank). Front Office: the services and solution to enable proposals, client servicing and Portfolio Management. Operational platform: the technology and business processes that supports SEI’s middle and back office operational units, and similar units within our large clients.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in front-end engineering, including 3+ years architecting enterprise Angular applications.
  • Expert with Angular (14+ preferred) and TypeScript; delivered MFEs (e.g., Module Federation) in production.
  • Strong build/delivery tooling (Angular CLI, Node.js, npm, Git) and CI/CD; Nx/monorepos a plus.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and responsive design.
  • Strong RxJS and state patterns (NgRx/Signals), automated testing (Jest/Karma, Cypress/Playwright), and performance tuning.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership and product influence.
  • BS/BA in CS/Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience across multiple applications in an enterprise product suite.
  • Able to manage competing priorities with strong time management.
  • Experience with: Angular architecture (boundaries, DI, routing, lazy loading) and reusable library design.
  • MFE architectures (e.g., Module Federation), including versioning and shared dependency management.
  • Design systems/component libraries; CSS architecture (SASS) and responsive UI engineering.
  • Automated testing and testable UI architecture (unit, integration, E2E).
  • Performance for large data sets (virtualization, efficient rendering, bundle optimization) and observability.
  • Maintaining shared platform standards (reference apps, templates, documentation).
  • Current on UI trends, techniques, and tooling.
  • Experience designing and delivering scalable, distributed, commercial-grade systems with 24x7 operations.
  • Strong communicator who can explain technical concepts to cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Drive adoption of engineering standards across development teams.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; able to train and mentor engineers.
  • Highly collaborative and solutions-oriented.
  • Open to feedback and iterate designs professionally.
  • Author and maintain engineering standards (reference architectures, ADRs, templates, documentation).
  • Meet timelines and deadlines with strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

  • Own Angular & MFE Architecture: Define and evolve enterprise Angular and Micro‑Frontend standards, including structure, routing, state management, shared libraries, and Module Federation patterns that support independent deployment and stable runtime contracts.
  • Drive Front‑End Strategy & Alignment: Partner with Product, UX, Security, and Backend teams to translate requirements into clear front‑end direction and align multiple teams on consistent architecture and trade‑offs (performance, security, UX, autonomy).
  • Establish Governance, Platforms & Enablement: Build and govern front‑end platforms through reference apps, ADRs, standards, templates, shared component libraries, and CI/CD guardrails, with clear ownership and supported adoption across MFEs.
  • Ensure Quality, Security & Observability: Define and enforce quality bars for accessibility (WCAG), secure coding, testing, dependency hygiene, UI‑to‑API patterns (auth, errors), and observability (logs, metrics, error tracking) for distributed front ends.
  • Lead Technical Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Serve as the Angular/TypeScript SME, mentor engineers, lead key initiatives, track and improve KPIs (build time, bundle size, performance, errors), and guide pragmatic adoption of new Angular, RxJS, and tooling capabilities.

Benefits

  • paid parental leave
  • back-up childcare arrangements
  • paid volunteer days
  • education assistance
