About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology at the Emory University School of Medicine is seeking board-eligible or board-certified anesthesiologists to join the Emory University Hospital Midtown Surgical Specialties team in Atlanta. The tertiary-care medical center performs approximately 22,000 anesthetics annually and serves academic and community providers. Its Maternity Center has a growing obstetrical service approaching 6,000 deliveries per year. The role must be performed in person at an Emory University location; remote work is not an option. The OR case mix includes general surgery, ENT, orthopedics, gynecologic surgery, urologic surgery, plastic surgery, surgical oncology, vascular surgery, neuro-spine surgery, oromaxillofacial surgery, radiology procedures (interventional, MRI, and CT), and endoscopy procedures (gastroenterology and pulmonary). The obstetrical service includes 18 delivery rooms and five obstetrical operating rooms. The collaborative care team provides resources and peer support. Academic appointment may be at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank, based on prior experience and CV review.
