About The Position

We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for a Locum Tenens position at a hospital in Northampton, MA. This role involves providing clinical anesthesia care for a variety of surgical and endoscopic procedures, primarily for adult and healthy pediatric patients. The coverage period is from January 4, 2027, to August 9, 2027, with a clinical shift schedule of Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM. The Anesthesiologist will manage 16-20 cases per day, focusing on general surgery, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, endoscopy, and healthy pediatrics. The position requires the ability to perform regional anesthesia and blocks, including pediatric blocks. A minimum commitment of 3 weeks per month is expected.

Requirements

• Active MA license
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• MA DEA license
• BLS, ACLS, ABA certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Credentialing Timeline: 90 days

Nice To Haves

• Regional anesthesia skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide independent anesthesia care for surgical and endoscopic procedures.
