About The Position
Somnia Anesthesia, a physician-owned and led anesthesia group, is seeking Anesthesiologists to join our growing team at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT. This role offers a dynamic practice environment within a community hospital setting, with a focus on work-life balance and a competitive compensation package. The position involves medical direction of CRNAs and a mix of cases including B&B, GEN, Ortho, GI, and minimal OB. The call schedule is 1 in 3 weekday remote for O.R. & OB, with rare call-ins and a post-call day off. The role requires being in the hospital 50% of the time, with 12 full weekends a year. New graduates are welcomed.
Requirements
- Active CT license
- Board certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services in the Operating Room (OR) and Obstetrics (OB).
- Supervise and medically direct Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
- Manage a case mix including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, and minimal Obstetrics.
- Participate in a 1 in 3 weekday remote call rotation.
- Be available for 12 full weekends of call per year.
- Work in the hospital approximately 50% of the time.
