About The Position
BayCare Medical Group (BMG) is seeking Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants to join their anesthesia team at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL. This role offers a collaborative and supportive culture with physicians, CRNAs, and AAs. The practice involves a broad, high-acuity case mix with diverse surgical specialties, including Trauma, OB/Gyn, Pediatrics, Vascular, EP, IR, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Thoracic, OMFS, Endoscopy, Urology, and ENT. Open hearts (adult or pediatric) are excluded. The position offers flexible scheduling with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts. St. Joseph’s Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, 615-bed community hospital founded in 1934 and part of the BayCare Health System, known for innovation and high-quality care. The hospital is undergoing facility upgrades and campus development. Tampa offers access to beaches, outdoor recreation, and a vibrant cultural scene.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program.
- NCCAA certification required.
- Active Florida license or ability to obtain.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Practice in a medically supervised role with a broad, high-acuity case mix.
- Participate in diverse surgical cases including Trauma, OB/Gyn, Pediatrics (all ages), Vascular, EP, IR, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Thoracic, OMFS, Endoscopy, Urology, and ENT.
- Collaborate with physicians, CRNAs, and AAs in a team-focused environment.
