About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician provides support to anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases and procedures to ensure quality patient care. This role also supports anesthesia staff with the preparation of rooms and equipment needed for patient care. The technician protects patient and personal safety by following department processes, maintaining a sterile environment, and understanding equipment function. Additionally, the technician maintains supply, equipment, and pharmacy inventory to optimize the delivery of anesthesia services, and ensures the cleanliness and proper function of anesthesia equipment and the workroom. Daily computer support and equipment troubleshooting are also part of the responsibilities, including supporting the Anesthesiologist in Optime. The role assists in meeting departmental/hospital KPIs related to patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, financial performance, organizational effectiveness, and community healthcare.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

Nice To Haves

Relevant experience or training program preferred
1 year of previous anesthesia tech experience preferred
