About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician carries out routine patient care duties and related activities under the direct supervision of the Anesthesia/Main OR/Preop Holding/Perioperative Manager and/or Surgical Services Director.

Requirements

• BLS certification required.
• Must be a high school graduate and successful completion of an educational program OR competencies specific to Anesthesia Tech.
• At least 6 months of employment in an OR setting as Anesthesia Tech or similar role.
• Able to assess the direct/indirect needs of the patient within the scope of their practice; plans/prioritizes patient care needs; communicates patient care needs; adheres to confidentiality; and maintains current knowledge base including basic knowledge of growth and development.

Nice To Haves

• Anesthesia Tech Certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG training preferred.
