About The Position

Assists anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care. Performs routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity. Works under direct supervision within defined parameters.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA): Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Certified Anesthesia Tech (CAT): Required

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s/Technical Degree in biology, chemistry, physics, math or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data and assists with physical and mental patient evaluations.
• Documents surgical procedures and assists directing anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care.
• Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited and confined to routine matters.
• Elevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
