About The Position

Ensures the availability of supplies needed for anesthesia services. Sets up, stocks, and maintains specialty carts and anesthesia machines, including the exchange of medication trays. Maintains equipment and related supplies in aseptic condition. Cleans and disinfects contaminated medical equipment. Retrieves medical equipment and devices from other areas of the hospital as needed. Follows federal, Joint Commission, and organizational guidelines for sterile technique and infection control. Attends in-services, seminars, and other educational programs to maintain knowledge and skills. Adheres to quality assurance procedures during daily work activities. Assists with the training and orientation of new employees. Sets up inventory and re-stocks specialty carts after each use. Maintains adequate stock of commonly used anesthesia supplies. Cleans and disinfects anesthesia machines, monitors, cables, and other key medical equipment. Attaches accessories to anesthesia machines and prepares emergency airway equipment. Performs additional related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed and precise instructions.

  • One (1) year of healthcare-related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
