About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician works under the supervision of the Manager, Anesthesia Services and performs a variety of anesthesia equipment and supply related tasks. Provides diagnostic and treatment services during regular recurring critical care situations: set up, check, inspect, maintain and calibrate a variety of anesthesia equipment. Performs various anesthesia specialized treatment procedures that will significantly affect the accuracy and reliability of further processes associated with the anesthetic course of the patient. The team reflects a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team consisting of registered nurses, surgical technologist, anesthesiologist, CRNAs, and surgeon provides patient care and supportive services that are directed toward achievement of patient care outcomes, improving service levels, reducing length of hospitalization and decreasing costs. Additionally, the Anesthesia Technician is responsible for coordinating Anesthesia and Auto transfusion services, including technical and logistical support to the physicians and hospital staff for surgical procedures. The Anesthesia Technician will follow all standards regarding safety of all patients, staff and self. In addition, all work areas are to be stocked according to levels, clean and organized. The Anesthesia Technician is also responsible for demonstrating a positive, collaborative attitude, and being respectful to all patients, family and staff.

Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • 6 months patient care experience in an operating room/anesthesia setting or equivalent
  • 3 months supervisory experience or equivalent
