Anesthesia Technician (Full-time regular, Day Shift)
About The Position
Assists anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care. Performs routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity. Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA): Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Certified Anesthesia Tech (CAT): Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s/Technical Degree in biology, chemistry, physics, math or equivalent combination of education/related experience
Responsibilities
- Gathers patient data and assists with physical and mental patient evaluations.
- Documents surgical procedures and assists directing anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care.
- Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited and confined to routine matters.
- Elevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
