About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician works under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist, CRNA, or Registered Nurse and performs delegated functions. The role is responsible for safely and effectively cleaning equipment in accordance with safety and infection-control standards, and for ordering and preparing supplies and equipment needed by the Anesthesiologist for surgical procedures. The technician observes Universal Precautions and meets Standards of Care. Patients served may range in age from neonates to geriatric patients.

Requirements

• At least two years of anesthesia or critical care background.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to operate, or learn to operate, equipment used in performing job responsibilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
