Anesthesia Technician - Evenings
About The Position
Join Riley Hospital for Children, which has 16 operating rooms serving specialties including General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Ear, Nose, and Throat, Cardiovascular, and Neurosurgery. Anesthesia Technicians assist Anesthesiologists and CRNAs during trauma and other special cases by meeting their supply and equipment needs. The role maintains appropriate inventory levels of anesthesia drugs and supplies for the operating room area and sets up, troubleshoots, and maintains pressure monitoring equipment. This is a full-time evening-shift role at Riley Hospital for Children, a Level I pediatric trauma hospital. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of anesthesia drugs and supplies for ordering and maintaining supply levels.
- Knowledge of equipment setup and maintenance, including the ability to perform minor equipment troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Assist Anesthesiologists and CRNAs during trauma cases and other special cases with supply and equipment needs.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of anesthesia drugs and supplies for the operating room area.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain pressure monitoring equipment.
