About The Position

Assists licensed anesthesia provider(s) with duties related to the care and monitoring of patients and equipment. This role involves cleaning, sterilizing, and setting up anesthesia equipment, assisting providers with patient monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of invasive lines, and airway management. The technician is also responsible for the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, maintaining inventory of supplies, and assisting with room turnover and setup.

Requirements

• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.
• No experience required.
• High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire.
• BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sterilizes, and sets up all types of anesthesia equipment.
• Assists anesthesia provider with monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management.
• Provides daily maintenance of all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Maintains a sufficient inventory of all equipment and supplies.
• Assists all team members in room turnover and set up.
