About The Position

The Anesthesia Tech position is a full-time role within the Anesthesia Department, focusing on evening shifts. The technician will provide essential support during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative procedures. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, managing supplies, maintaining anesthesia stations, troubleshooting equipment, and ordering supplies. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the anesthesia services.

Requirements

• High school Diploma with 1 year experience as either an Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Emergency Medical Tech
• Associate’s Degree if no clinical experience
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
• Ability to occasionally lift (patients and equipment), as well as push and/or pull heavy objects

Responsibilities

• Assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures
• Pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover
• Auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations
• Calibration of POC equipment
• High-level sterilization procedures and documentation
• Provide basic level equipment troubleshooting
• Order supplies via the Lawson Material Management System
