The starting payrate is $22.00 per hour. Summary: Works in conjunction with the anesthesiologist and the nurse anesthetist to prepare patients for anesthesia and surgery. Ensures care for equipment utilized. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• experience working as an Anesthesia Tech 1-2 years required
• Maintains working knowledge of the name and function of all anesthesia equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care principles.
• Ability to work well under extreme pressure and stress.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sterilizes and sets up all types of anesthesia equipment.
• Assists anesthesia provider with monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management.
• Prepares anesthesia carts and anesthesia machines with appropriate supplies in a timely manner to facilitate room turnover.
• Ensures proper functioning, condition and positioning of anesthesia equipment.
