Anesthesia Technician II (Per Diem)

Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- CPR Certification.
- English.
- Employee must be able to cover all specialty areas where anesthesia is administered, and must exhibit excellent communication skills, understanding by responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Critical creative thinking, planning, problem solving, and decision making are all responsibilities in this position, as well as, prioritizing responsibilities throughout the shift.
Nice To Haves
- Operating Room experience would be helpful to this position, such as a clinical technician, PCA, CNA, Pharmacy Tech, or any related field.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and manages activities related to anesthesia department.
- Maintains anesthesia machines and equipment.
- Sets up operating rooms with required anesthesia and physiologic monitoring equipment in preparation for anesthesia in surgical and obstetric suites.
- Removes and cleans equipment at end of procedures (if possible) and restocks anesthesia supplies for subsequent use.
- Provides assistance to central supply as needed.
- Assists with turnover changing and wiping down anesthesia machine and cart also any equipment that might be in the room. This includes anesthesia circuit, suction tubing, and EKG leads.
- Troubleshoots anesthesia equipment.
- Set up any special equipment that might be needed for the case.
- Performing the leak test on the anesthesia machine.
- Assist with setting up the Belmont, and or Level One rapid infuser.
- Provide support to the Anesthesia provider during emergency trauma cases, or called upon as needed.
