Anesthesia Support Specialist
About The Position
The Anesthesia Support Specialist assists the anesthetist by performing various tasks, including the maintenance and monitoring of anesthesia equipment and machines, supply management, department cleaning, and preparation of the surgery room with equipment and supplies according to established procedures. Follows and understand the standards and recommended practices according to the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN). The Anesthesia Support Specialist assists in cleaning and preparing the surgery room and procedural room in addition to managing the care of the anesthesia equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/ GED
- 6 months work experience in HealthCare
- Computer and phone experience
Nice To Haves
- American Heart Association CPR/basic life support (BLS)
- 6 months operating room/surgery/procedural area experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology or coding rules
